BASED ON an early electric design for a student lamp. A sturdy weighted base, with a sliding arm and adjustable lamp-holder. Unlacquered and slightly oxidised, it has already started ageing naturally and gracefully. The shade is stitched with waxed cotton thread, and casts a cloudy luminosity that mimics calf’s skin, but will not yellow with time.
